Handmade

For Christmas Pete asked his dad to make some shelves for our living room to display some of our ceramics. When his mum and dad were here the other weekend they brought up the finished item, which we put up this evening - isn't it beautiful? His dad is very talented at working with wood (this is oak, I think), and has made lots of really beautiful wooden toys for all the grandchildren.
