Today at the Venice Carnival

On the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's death in 1324 the 2024 Venice Carnival theme is travel, discovery and encounters with previously only imagined worlds.
As thousands of tourists and local people entered into St Mark's Square, 
it was difficult to capture the characters with lots of pushing and jostling for a best photo viewpoint and backgrounds can be filled with visitors.
