Summer on the Tavistock Canal

Lush vegetation grows alongside and over the canal near Tavistock, West Devon. The canal was dug to transport metal ores, mostly copper, from mines in the Tavistock area to the river port of Morwelham on the river Tamar.
The water level was low today but the strong afternoon sunshine made for lovely colours and reflections.
