Sunbeams

By Saffi

A visitor

I heard a small crash-landing on my duvet and discovered it was a ladybird.  They often sneak into the house in the winter to hibernate and shelter and then wake up when the temperature is a little milder.

Coffee with friends in town this morning.

This is a backblip.

Update on ladybird:  Its name is Harmonia axyridis or Harlequin Ladybird, also known as the Asian Lady Beetle.  It is native to Eastern Asia but was introduced to control aphids in Europe and North America.
