I think that I have blipped this purple sandpiper before but it is an honour to see it here! What's more, there are two! Please see extra...

They breed in the Canadian arctic and are rarely seen then. They spend a fair bit of time further north on the Atlantic Coast. They will soon be gone from here. 

I also captured the turnstone flock in flight - thought that you might like it!
