Quiet lanes with some 25% descents and inclines. Everywhere running with water and muddy in a lot of places. The misty rain blowing off the Atlantic wasn’t cold but my goodness there were no gaps.
I found some respite in the deep valleys and woodland edged areas and managed to see or hear, an absolute abundance of frogspawn, some early spring lambs, Jays, spotted woodpecker, bullfinches, a solitary skylark, buzzards, wrens, mistle thrush, flocks of redwings and Fieldfares, plenty of corvids, blue tits, Great tits, long tailed tits, pheasant, oh and a gorilla of course!
