Sgwarnog: In the Field

A rainy Sunday, so16yo and I headed down to Salts Mill for the afternoon.

A Kitty North exhibition (extra) has appeared since our last visit, and that’s well worth spending time with. Otherwise, I just about managed to resist a significant moomin purchase and we enjoyed our cake stop.

As usual, I also enjoy the views out of the windows. The white (former HMRC) building on the left is currently being demolished, so there may be one less chimney in the view next time around. It’s somewhat ironic that we’ve reached the stage where all the post-war big builds are being knocked down while what remain of the Victorian mills, including Salts Mill itself, stand proud.
