The Bell at Tewkesbury
timber framed hotel
with links to Tewkesbury Abbey
17th century
The Bell Hotel has the inscription "IK 1696", (Jacob Kingsbury), telling us when it was built. It is a fine example of a 17th century inn. Parts of it (cellars) are believed to be even older. It is recorded that it was previously a medieval hostel.
