Lemsford Springs

A wonderful start to a Monday.  A friend introduced me to Lemsford Springs.  We have lived here for over 25 years and I didn't know this existed so close to our home.  We saw green sand pipers and little egrets in the water, while buzzards wheeled overhead.  No sign of the water rail that I had gone to see (and hear) though.

I popped into Waitrose for more coffee grounds on the way home and dropped them off at the allotment.  I checked the thermometer and thought at 16C it hadn't changed, but looking at yesterday's blip, it started at 11C, so a 5C rise.  I love a bit of chemistry.  :-)
