...but not for long.

Northallerton has a major train route going through it but also a branch line that skirts around the town. This line has four crossings with two being on major roads. When freight or some passenger trains use this route traffic comes to a halt sometimes for up to 20 minutes within the period of an hour. 

This crossing covers a local road with little traffic but if you time your journey wrong you can be waiting a while. 

I've gone negative as it picks out some of the detail better than the original.
