Out of the house!

The first real day this year we've been well enough to leave the house other than for school/work!

We cycled over to the reservoir just south of Stapleford and gad a walk round it to look at the ducks. Highlights included being rather confused by great crested grebes - two in their summer plumage we recognised, but a third was in winter plumage and we had to look it up. Also had to look up pochard (not a duck we're very familiar with) and two ruddy shelduck (orangey red bodies with paler faces and black/white wings).

It was a big windy, but lovely.
