First Light Lake Hayes

A beautiful start to the day in Queenstown - sunrise panoramic across Lake Hayes on the way to the airport. There was a huge moon just hanging over the mountains but it didn't show up in the photo.

The flight out showed the full extent of the recent snowfall - the Southern Alps are plastered. So much potential for skiing - must be a good week for a heli?

Minus five driving through the Cardrona Valley - the whole valley is an ice bowl.
