Our beautiful sister!

Simon had made her room so beautiful. He’d strung photos like garlands around the walls, capturing precious moments of her childhood as a daughter, then as a bride, a new mother, a much loved grandma, and a wonderful sister. There were also vases of bright flowers and daffodils, and a playlist of worship songs and classical favourites quietly in the background. She was never on her own and we told her often we were all there and that we loved her so much.

Then at 2pm on Sunday she took her last breath and ended her long fight with cancer and immediately and swiftly went to a far better place. We know God will hold her tight for us.

Such a privilege for We3 to be with her, with Neil and their children as she passed away. A great sadness, and a huge gap left by her passing, but so many happy memories, so much love and laughter shared. For now our hearts ache, our days are up and down. In time We3 will have more wonderful times together with our families. Valerie will always be with us.

We hold Neil, Tim, Simon Sarah and all the grandchildren in our arms and prayers.
