Rock Bunting

There were several of these beautiful little birds in the bushes near Villeneuve this morning. The Merlin app says it is a Rock Bunting, a male, which I have never consciously seen before. Apparently they are relatively rare occurring only in South Switzerland and usually on south facing, rocky, slopes.  So the sex life of the Great Crested Grebes is in extra!

A day of rest after yesterday’s ski uphill. Thank you for your encouragement too.
