Wannabe Mistle Thrush

A mistle thrush was rooting around my lawn. A very beautiful bird and a rare sight in the garden.

I grabbed the camera, removed the macro lens, amended the ISO, changed from manual focus to auto and....... it was gone. Lesson 1 - be prepared.

The blackbird, another beauty but not a rarity, appeared in it's place. Still, a lovely compensation. Thank you wannabe thrush.
