Jon Taylor

Enjoyable drumming session this morning, then coffee with Liz H and a few of the other drummers. Meanwhile, MrM had been for a walk, and messaged to say that he was in a nearby café. Arranged to meet him there, and on the way popped into the greengrocer's and bought a hellebore and some reduced-price miniature daffs.

By the time I reached the café it was lunch time, so we had some minted-pea soup for lunch before walking back up the hill. Out in the garden this afternoon to plant this morning's purchases, and do a bit more cutting back of the spirea. Glad to get indoors - it was a tad chilly for gardening!

Into Huddersfield on the bus this evening. We timed leaving the house with the so-called "real time" bus times on t'internet - but this evening the "real time" was totally fictitious, and we waited for over 15 minutes . Brrr!

An excellent evening at the Head of Steam. Pie and peas to start with, then jazz club. Not Rod Mason on sax as advertised, but Jon Taylor. (A terrible photo of a brilliant musician.) Some great music! And we won a prize in the raffle - free 'pie and a pint' next time!
