Rain Stopped Play

I had in mind to go to Welford Park today, famous for hosting the "Bake Off" tent as well as renown for its snowdrops at this time of the year. However, the heavy rain forecast had me staying local and heading back to Savill Garden for my coffee fix and walk - I think this might become a Friday habit!

Since my last visit in January the gardeners have been busy tidying the beds and the spring flowers are beginning to make their presence known, albeit looking rather damp or bedraggled with the rain. In fact, it started as I was half way round and I had to make a beeline for the glasshouse to shelter for 15mins or so!  Still, it does leave some lovely raindrops on roses irises behind.
