An evening of two halves

Our friends came for dinner this evening after which the menfolk retired to the back room to watch Motherwell play Morton in a cup tie. Meanwhile my friend and I retired to the front room to drink tea and eat the chocolates they had kindly brought. Only one of these pursuits brought happiness.
