Snowdrops

Last Friday I blipped our lonely snowdrop.  Well a week later our fellow villagers have put us to shame, this being a garden in the High Street – but that house always has a grand display of unregimented flowers.  It’s always a joy to walk past.  We still only have our one snowdrop.

Extraordinary Biskit sitting duties today.  Mind you we are used to last minute ‘daaad’ phone calls before seven o’clock  in the morning.  At least we had a few days’ notice for this one.  The Daughter went to see ‘The Cured Child’ with a friend – left Bourne at 7am, back 1am Saturday morning.

Soaking wet day, we got back from our morning walk like drowned rats.  There was a dry spell mid afternoon which we took advantage of.  The beck was running harder than I can remember in years (see extra) but the bottom of the village was spared the floods we had a few weeks back, but they are fuelled by runoff from the North where the beck comes from the West.  Mind you the ‘Fountains of Rippingale’ were in evidence again.

Many thanks to Annie for hosting Flower Friday.
