Mr. Dapper at the Feeder

Painted Buntings occasionally pass through our area during their migrations. Usually we see the rather drab green females, I can't remember ever seeing a brightly colored male, although I've heard of sightings locally. Imagine my surprise and joy when this handsome boy showed up this morning at our seed feeder! And then when he returned later to enjoy more of our offerings! (check the *extras...) I hope that he remembers this stop on his travels next year!  And...just a reminder about the upcoming Great Backyard Bird Count. It's fun and very informative. m
