Save the Children

I've been listening to Marvin Gaye's brilliant album 'What's Going On' today (vinyl version). This song (Save the Children) punched me in the gut. The story in the news earlier in the week about Hind Rajab and then today's inevitable update is beyond heart-breaking. It's rare for us to hear the name of an individual child killed... and then to put a happy, innocent face to that name. And she is just one of over 11,500 children who've been killed. If it's hard for you to grasp that number then watch the recent film made by Led By Donkeys.

To physically stop Israel is one thing, but publicly condemning them and withdrawing support is quite another. Let's see what happens when they go into Rafah, despite the entire world telling them not to.

On a lighter note! Met up with Norm for a coffee today and we went over to Hobbycraft because I wanted a bigger crochet hook and some chunky (lighter coloured) yarn... as suspected, I'm finding it much easier now.

Started watching the latest series of 'Two Doors Down' last night. Really didn't enjoy it. I quite liked the last series, without Cathy in it. Will persevere with one more episode but if it's just constant cuts to one of the characters rolling their eyes at something that's been said, I might have to call it a day.

Enjoying the new series of 'Here We Go' though, half way through now and liked every episode so far.
