Have Camera Will Travel

Sightseeing

After a late start we headed into Lichfield for a bit of a mooch.

Notable for its three- spired medieval cathedral the centre of the city has over 230 listed buildings including many examples of Georgian architecture and preserves much of its historic character.

We meander down the Main Street with its many unique shops, I was drawn to this one with the unusual dolls, the lady owner was very interested in my shot and invited me in but as we had the doggies with us we declined.

We carry on towards the market and met this very eccentric man playing the violin.

We finally arrive at the Cathedral but sadly the main spire was covered in scaffolding. The Cathedral was built between 1195 and 1249.

The rain stayed away but it was very cold, we walk along the side of Minster pool before heading back to the car.

We looked forward to returning to our cosy cottage but alas the power was off (electricity had tripped) it took ages to warm up.
Indian takeaway for dinner.
