Droichead na Leathphingine

Or, if you aren't fluent in Irish, the Ha'penny Bridge, built in 1816, and where the Ha'penny in the name refers to the toll for crossing it.

These days, though, the footbridge is free, and we made use of it in getting from the Dublin Express coach that we'd to taken from the airport, to our hotel on the other side of the Liffey.

Despite arriving mid-morning, our room was free, so we had a leisurely day, with a stroll around the city and dinner at a rather nice Italian restaurant.
