Sgwarnog: In the Field

Tarns

A bright Sunday provided an opportunity for 16yo and I to get out onto the moor, although boots were definitely needed for the wet ground.

We headed up Green Lane to Hope Farm, then past Dobrudden before dropping down to the far end of Shipley Glen and back along Brackenhall Green. The Glen Tearoom was shut, so we walked next to the tramway down to Roberts Park to catch the Half Moon Café before closing.

The boulders along Brackenhall Green contained many puddles, ideal for conjuring up imaginary tarns.
