Walking the old way

In that my walking is much better and still improving!
Also in that I walked a little way along the old drover's road that has been in use for an estimated 3000 years, although it was superseded as a main highway in the 12th Century when the Great North Road was built. It was still used for moving livestock between farms and markets and was reputedly used by any rogues who wanted to travel North-South surreptitiously, avoiding the toll houses and the authorities.
I didn't meet any ne'er do wells today, just a couple of dog walkers and a lady out riding her chestnut mare
