Best Beach Buddies, Camber Sands

I've been struggling quite a bit lately so have had to take some time off work. I've tried to keep doing things every day even if it's just going for a short run or sorting out some paperwork. Another thing that hasn't helped has been the awful weather, day after day of grey skies and/or rain. Today was different, though, as it was a very rare day this winter of sunshine and blue skies so my brother suggested going for a drive to the Romney Marsh to see if we could both capture an image each for our blips.
Our first port of call was the the village of Appledore but, unfortunately, it being a Monday everything, and I mean everything, was closed.
Therefore, we decided to head towards Camber Sands on what turned out to be a very circuitious route. About half way there we stopped off at Broomhill Sands where, over the past few years, they have been strengthening the sea defences with a concrete wall and a long rock revetment. The revetment itself is made up of huge boulders pushed hard against the sea wall. It's a mighty impressive construction. My second extra is of a rather beautiful set of steps built over the wall that leads down to the seafront. The tide was in so the waves were breaking over them and the foam exploding into the breeze. We then got back in the car and, after another fifteen minutes or so, finally reached Camber Sands itself. As soon as we got to the beach we both felt instantly calmer and happier, everything just looked glorious in the gorgeous winter light. My main image is of these two dogs looking like they were having the best time ever so I just had to capture them - I even like the wonky horizon as I think it adds to rather than subtracts from the shot. The other extras were all taken as we walked along the beach. We may even have sneaked in a cold pint as well!
