Tuesday

Hedgehog day.

I only cleaned out 4 because the other 10 were properly hibernating!

Then I prepped two cages for a couple that have finished their meds, are up to weight and should now hibernate.

The native hedgehog, above, was found having been attacked by a dog.

There's another 8 still recieving treatment so have yet to come under my Tuesday duties.

The pygmy, right, was bought as an exotic pet and the owner couldn't cope. Ian & Joy, the people behind the charity, also rescue exotics but they never mix with the natives and will never be released.

Earlier today was spent with Tessa and her overly exuberant niece. She's a very childish 12 year old and very clever. She exhausts me! However, we had a great time together and she gives Hetty lots of attention.
