Traffic Jam

Took the Southern Scenic Route from Dunedin south … into very remote countryside in the Catlins. Visited Nugget Point lighthouse, and encountered a huge ‘migration’ of 100s of sheep on the road! It was controlled, they weren’t escapees, but it was funny to see sooooooo many sheep on the move. 

Destination for the night was tiny Papatowai. Just a basic motel for one night, not much choice in accommodation, but it was clean & quiet, and we were advised to walk 5 mins to the local campsite for food. Well, Peakes Diner was fabulous! Deli food & drinks al fresco … it was great!
