Cathodeon Crystals

I went to a very interesting talk at the library today about the factory in Linton that used to be across the road from my house. The talk was by Bill Metcalf the CEO at one point who explained about how the crystals were made and what they were used for.

Technology moved on and the factory closed in 1988 but it employed 500 people from the surrounding area in its heyday, and most of the audience today had worked there at one time. It was especially interesting to see photos of the people and hear the anecdotes of what went on.
