tempus fugit

For the love of trees

Neill has been an intermittent visitor over the past three years since we first applied for a grant from the Welsh government to plant trees on our land. He's the forester who advised us, sourced the trees and planted them, and also fenced off the area from the rest of the field which we let for grazing.
See last year's blip.

Today he completed his task here by checking the condition of the baby trees and filling a few gaps with more he brought along as well as with some little oaks I grew from acorns. Now it's up to us to keep them mulched and fit to grow on.

(The structure on the left hand edge is part of our solar array which makes electricity for us and the national grid.)
