Fire

The Port Hills fire is still not contained, covering 650 hectares with a 14km perimeter.  At daybreak this morning the helicopter pilots were on the job once more, accessing water from the ponds.  Three helicopters can be seen, coming or going carrying empty or full buckets, with a backdrop of billowing smoke, lit by the rising sun.

In extras, a photo taken on a trek to Mt Pleasant today.  Smoke from the fire can be seen top right of the image, trailing onto Lyttelton Harbour. (There's a cruise ship in port too.)
