Gerbera Gyrations

First, the single gerbera flower head was turned inside out so the petals pointed in towards the centre,

That image was repeatedly copied until I had 12.
Each one was physically rotated in increments of 30 degrees.
I then rotated the colours of each one by the same number of degrees.
They were then assembled in a 4 x 3 array (L to R, R to L, L to R)

The array was then copied and flipped vertically before being placed below.  Both were then copied and flipped horizontally before being placed on the right.

Finally added the original flowerhead scaled to image size and combined in GIMP's 'saturation' mode.

The result is a blend of styles of Andy Warhol's screen prints (M.Munroe and soup-cans) and Damien Hirst's spot pictures.

This is my entry for Ingeborg's Abstract Thursday challenge, AT451, on the theme of 'Repetition'.
