Objects on the beach

Today was a wet day.  We set off in light rain and stopped at the nearby beach of Ardmair to take a few images as low clouds rolling down the mountain were of interest.  We had decided to take the B road to Reiff as we knew it was very scenic despite the poor visibility.  We didn't actually make it all the way but stopped at various points as the thicker clouds around mountains offered some photographic opportunities.  We passed the high peaks of the distinctive Stac Pollaidh a torridonian sandstone mountain with jagged peaks and stopped for lunch in the Geo Park..  By now the rain was pretty heavy.  A granite out crop with mossy trees attracted our attention and then we continued to Badentarbet.  This small fishing village had at one time between 1833 - 1995 a thriving salmon net fishery sending fish as far afield as England.  Various objects were slowly decaying on the beach including these three metal objects, old boats and anchors.  We continued our journey a little further along taking shots of the nearby Summer Isles before returning back home.

It was still raining as we arrived back.  Despite the weather it was still enjoyable to see such delightful scenery.  We were on cleaning up duty after tonights meal.
