Phornium

also known as New Zealand Flax.  I just liked how the light caught its leaves in the sun. This species is "Maori Queen" and a neighbour dug it out of her garden just before moving to Cornwall.  It has taken a few years to really establish itself as it should be in full sun and it isn't.

Getting used to my hire car as mine is being collected tomorrow for repairs through the insurance - the milkman backed into it at 3.40 in the morning - he had loads of space and has never done it before.  The good thing is he admitted liability but it has taken a week to get things rolling. Still have a bad throat.
