Blue

Anemone blanda always seems completely the wrong name for this vivid blue spring flower. They don’t do very well in my garden but I keep trying with them. Maybe all the recent rain will give them a boost.

The awful news about Alexei Navalny has knocked me sideways. What courage and resilience he had to have been the thorn in Putin’s side for so long. I’m very sorry Putin finally succeeded in having him murdered. Not that there’s a Russian election this year or anything…
