Mr Grumpy (see extras)

I was fortunate enough to attend a photoshoot at the beautiful Georgian Brinton Hall (near Melton Constable) today.  We were given an extensive tour by the owner who is somewhat of an expert on snowdrops.  After enjoying some of the garden we crossed the site of an old Saxon trackway and down to the lake and then up into the woods where a carpet of snowdrops awaited.

You'll have to look in extras to see a photo of 'Mr Grumpy', you can see why this particular snowdrop was named thus.

We were welcomed into the house afterwards for tea (from some very fine china cups).  Our hosts had made some beautiful home made cake.  All enjoyed in front of a real fire.

A most enjoyable afternoon.
