The Scottish broom is blooming

All along the coast. I love this plant in all its parts, the flowers, the smell and the attraction for the bees. It might be a bit early as the tender wings of insects might be damaged in the torrential rains that are coming down for many hours.
Same for the coastal Mimosa trees that opened in the last two weeks. They were blooming before the first pink Japanese plum trees even opened their buds…
Soon the wild Rhododendrons will start blooming in the forests.
We enjoyed a little social meeting in the morning but the afternoon was spent rather lazily. Banana pancakes for dinner…
