The newly renovated Club house at the Scotthall Oval nears completion, will it be ready for the start of the Local Cricket season? It has lost all of it’s original charm, a club and playing field for the Leeds Caribbean Cricket community; once a vibrant social venue, now a sterile exterior devoid of history.

Elsewhere on the fields the water-logged football pitches were unplayable. Whereas, On the lower pitch the local Women’s team welcomed Ilkley Town who, I was informed by the ref, are top of the Division. Their warm up routine was impressive so I was interested to see if they could put that together in the game. 2 pm came but the teams had yet to take to the field of play so I decided to head home. I think Int. Republic WFC are in for a battering! 6-0 perhaps.
