Parallax?

East Cliff from the pier at West Bay, and you can see both the remnants of recent rock falls from the cliff and two people standing on the edge.  

It might be the effect of distance (about 300m away) or parallax, but experience has shown that there are plenty of people who are willing to stand on top of a fragile cliff or beneath it – sometimes right next to the most recent fall.
