A sprinkling

At last we have had some rain which has fallen as snow on the top of Canigou. It is not nearly enough but maybe we will get some more later in the week. I caught up with the sport in the afternoon and then had a long catch up call with a Parisian friend who I have not seen for many years. I congratulated him on the performance of his national football team, the Ivory Coast, in winning the African Cup of Nations. He told me of the serious operation he has had on his back but he is now on the mend and is looking forward to the physiotherapy which will put him back on his feet.
