Rocks and waves

We were out for a long walk today - following part of the Fishermen’s Trail which runs down the coast in this part of Portugal.
We trudged for 6 or 7 km along tracks with only glimpses of sea but then found our way out to the cliff tops and stunning views. The rest of the walk took us above waves dashing the sandstone cliffs and then on to limestone dotted with wild flowers. We reached the furthest point west on Portugal - marked by a lighthouse, coffee shop and car park of course. And then on to Sagres, surfers paradise. A long tiring walk, rewarded with a beer, and burger and chips.
