Inchmahome

I had lunch next to the Lake of Menteith today, looking across to this island, which is the site of Inchamahome Prioriy.

Among other claims to fame, and interest, it is also the last resting place of the extraordinary Robert Bontine  Cunninghame Graham,  , otherwise known as Don Roberto, one of my predecessors as President of the SNP - indeed  he was the first to hold that office.   

My extra photos are of the little pier by the hotel , now called the Karma Lake of Menteith Hotel where Cathleen and I had an excellent lunch with Cailean ( it having been his birthday this week) and of the graveyard at the Kirk next door.
