Squirrel Shenanigans

This young Douglas Squirrel, native to Washington state, where I live, managed to squeeze into our suet cakes bird feeder, despite her sizable body (see extra photos).

She put on quite a show for me, and I enjoyed every  minute!

An adult Douglas squirrel is about 33 cm (13 in.) in length, including its tail, which is about 13 cm (5.1 in.) long, and weighs between 150 and 300 grams (5.3-10.6 ounces).
