Back to reality with a bump...

... a clatter, lots of banging and the lovely sound of a still-saw :(

Gran has been busy whilst we were away! She has been waiting months for workmen to come to sort various things in our part of the house. She wouldn't let us phone them to arrange anything as 'she is perfectly capable'. They all arrived without Gran telling us the moment we left.

This wall has had a massive bulge in it (I called it Algy). The plasterer cut out all the old lath and plaster and replaced everything. I think the shape of the bit that is still very wet is weird.

All the wallpaper on one of the walls in Mum's bedroom has been so wet it was peeling off. Someone turned up and has drilled two huge vents right through the wall to the outside. They look like port holes. Worst thing was that because mum didn't know anyone was coming we got back late last night to everything in her room being thick with dust and dirt as nothing was taken out or covered. The men arrived back early this morning to finish off the outside bit and we were all woken up to the noise of still-saws and dust coming in through the vents!
