Slad.

After a sumptuous breakfast, we headed out to the village of Slad- best known as the place where Laurie Lee wrote his memoir, Cider with Rosie.

I read the book as a child, never thinking I would see the wonderful Slad valley in person.

Today’s picture is of Rosebank Cottage, Lee’s childhood home.
