What's in a name?- Dumyat

I often wondered about the origin of Dumyat Hill (pictured).  While out walking I happened to see this new Visitors notice board .
It said:
“..the name Dumyat comes from Dun Maeatae ( the hill fort of the Maeaatae).
The Maeatae were an important Celtic tribe occupying the area   north of the Antonine Wall and were written about by Roman historians. The remains of the fort, also known as Castle Law, are below the hill summit.”
Guess I am walking in the footsteps of my Celtic ancestors.

PS M tested negative today for Covid. Phew! what a relief. Now fingers crossed I don't get it.
