Pheasant

Such a handsome bird. He was posing on top of a gate - it would have been rude not to stop the car and take his portrait! Another in extras because I couldn't decide which I liked best.

I was excited to see a red kite flying over, earlier in the afternoon, and even more thrilled to see him/one perched in a tree, so he features in my b&w journal: Bird On A Stick
