Monarch Butterfly

We were just on our way out when I thought I had better check on the chrysalis and noticed a butterfly on the milkweed. Soo excited to see it.
Managed to get a few photos outside and then we put it into a bucket with a net fly screen over it so that the grandsons could see it when they came home from school.
Of course they were delighted. Could only get one to have a photo with the butterfly.
The markings tell me that it is a girl and we will release into the garden tomorrow.
