Saintfield Railway Station

I had a delightful experience today!  The last train departed Saintfield in January 1950 and today the station stands in the grounds of the old station master's house.  It's now a private dwelling and it has been preserved more or less as it was.  I was shown around the signal box, which still has its leavers in place.  The main image looks down the platform with trains departing for Ballygowan and ultimately Belfast.  The underpass between the two platforms still exists.  The whole site is like a time capsule.  More details in the extra images.
