Scarborough

Visited Scarborough today.
A bit of a trip down memory lane as I holidayed here twice as a child during the 1970s.
Wandered along the prom at the north bay where we saw these bright beach huts, stopped for a coffee, had a stroll in Peasholm Park then to the south bay for lunch (in a Lounge restaurant).
Had a play on the 2p slot machine (for old times sake, although they were called penny falls back in the 70s as you could do it with 1p coins!)
Then rode up the cliff on the cliff tram - all 45 seconds of it! - for a wander at the top.
Scarborough was no doubt once a grand place but sadly has lost much of its Victorian grandeur.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed going back for a few hours.
